Apple to launch online store in India on September 23
Apple will be launching its first ever online store in India on September 23rd, giving customers in India a way to buy Apple products directly from the company.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
Customers can get advice, receive guidance, and learn about new products directly from Apple, both in English and Hindi.Apple says the Indian online store will offer “Apple’s full range of products and support,” and that will include the new products announced this week. Apple recently announced the Apple Watch Series 6, a new iPad Air.
For Apple, India is becoming an increasingly important market over a period with significant increase in demand for its products. In recent years, Apple has started manufacturing some of its devices in the country, Foxconn started building the iPhone 11 near Chennai in India.

Apple has been operating in India for more than 20 years, and the company’s ongoing investment and innovation support almost 900,000 jobs across the country. Apple’s App Design and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru has supported thousands of local developers, and today apps created by developers in India have become even more critical to everyday life as people seek to stay engaged and connected from home.
